Welcome to Sunshine and Ski Slopes. This is where I share my love of skiing and explain why I get up at 4 in the morning to head for snow.
I’m a traveller and a dreamer and adventurer. My blog is where all those things come together. There will be trip plans and updates, inspirational videos and tips I’m finding about becoming a better skier. I am finally going to try for my Level I certification with the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance and I plan to share what I learn along the way.
Last season, I met some people who work with the wonderful Track 3 Ski Association for the Disabled, a non-profit organization that teaches children and youth with disabilities to ski and snowboard. Their work spoke to my heart as skiing as been a part of my life forever. I am looking forward to working with Track 3 this year and hope to encourage others to become involved.
I want to encourage friends and family – and anybody else who lands here – to get outside and enjoy the beauty of winter. If I can convince my nephew that skiing is cool, even better.
